The main purpose of Photon Swarm is to collect original written material on futurology. This includes subject matter such as possible future developments in the scientific community and commercial R&D, future innovation and invention, and educated speculation on possible human engineering projects that might not exist now, but may one day.

Although the nature of much of this material is speculative and draws on the imagination, Photon Swarm strives to maintain a 'hard science' approach: everything recorded here is theoretically possible.
